The Tear Gas Hoax Hoax?
This guy gives a couple of good reasons to think that tear gas was used against peaceful protestors in Lafayette Square to make way for Trump's Walk to St. John's and Bible pose-a-thon. The CS canisters allegedly found by a news crew are very significant, but far from conclusive. The protestors already faked video--it wouldn't exactly take a genius to collect tear gas canisters from some other location, slightly removed, and drop them in Lafayette Square. Also, of course, I assume tear gas was used there earlier given the violence of some of the protests we've seen there. Furthermore, it's possible that that crowd was initially relatively non-violent, but became violent as it was pushed out, and that tear gas was deployed at that point. So the alleged presence of such canisters moves the evidentiary needle, but doesn't come close to closing the case.
And, of course: DON'T LET ANY OF THIS DISTRACT YOU FROM THE FACT THAT IVANKA CARRIED A HANDBAG ON THE WALK TO ST. JOHN'S!!!!!!!11111111111
Actually, the timing argument, if predicated on truths, seems most interesting to me.
I think Trump and Barr are being sued for this, which is good--the courts are more likely to get at the truth than journalists--who now see their job as more on the side of concealing important truths than uncovering them.
And, needless to say: even repulsive, shrieking, entitled little totalitarian idiots who don't know anything about anything and who want to abolish the First Amendment have First Amendment freedom of speech and association.
