Mollie Hemmingway vs. The (Apparent) Tear Gas Lie; Also: Woke Smoke / Tear Gas Theater

Hemmingway's just been great.

I'll bet--and would bet some money, though I'm not a betting man--that she's right.

First, as she notes, the Park Police issued a statement saying that they didn't.

Second, it's no longer blaring from the MSM. (Of course there'll be no retraction--or maybe a minor gesture toward one.)

Third, as MH notes, the cops in the video offered as proof by Reuters et al. aren't wearing gas masks, and aren't showing any effects of tear gas.

Fourth, it's protestor video, and my take is that it's a planned bit of tear-gas theater. These people are despicable, lying children. They're known for hate-crime hoaxes. There is basically nothing too devoid of honor for them to do. They deride the truth and admit that it must be subordinated to PC politics. Also, it's not a plan that takes brains to think up. To me, it looks like they planned it, and then on cue pretended to have been hit by tear gas. They had a video guy--who also shows no effects of tear gas--recording the center of the pseudo-event. People the next crowd over don't show any effects either. Even some of the people in the relevant area didn't get the message--like hands-up-don't-shoot guys and posing girl (who combines "taking a knee" with a militant fist in the air..).

   Could be wrong, but probably ain't.
