VDH: Origins of CWII: Electric B**gal**

I'm undoubtedly on lists already, so I'd better stop using that--almost entirely jokey--term.

Anyway, this now strikes me as--sadly--plausible, but I haven't seen an opposing view clearly articulated all at once, so.

It should--but, I suppose, in these crazy times can't--go without saying: just about nobody wants CWII to happen. There is nothing in there about thinking it would be good. It's a collection of hypotheses (i.e.: speculations about explanations) about what seems to be driving is in this lamentable direction.
