Noonan: Trump Shocked His Followers With His Vulgar, Threatening Social Media Post About The War

Agreed.

That was the last straw for me.

He's been maintaining my reluctant support because he's done so many good things--but mostly because the Democrats are so abjectly insane. They are not an option anymore. That leaves Trump.

Who is, of course, better than just not-the-Dems--he's done a credible job of rolling back a fair bit of the damage they've done.

So: on the domestic front: he's been good.

But foreign policy has always been the sketchiest part of this deal with the devil.

The mullahs deserve to be stomped. They are an insane, murderous, occupying force--as I understand it, anyway. I absolutely want them turned into small piles of ashes. 

But the threat to destroy the entire country...the entire civilization...WTF wat that??

Combined with the apparently poor planning (by Trump and...shudder...Hegseth...not by the military), the loony swinging back and forth, the apparent ceding of the Strait of Hormuz...the off-and-on declarations of victory... It just seems like a big pile of stupid and crazy.

Trump was a gamble.

I big, fat, gamble.

He's done a lot of good--and has been incalculably better than (shudder again) Harris or any other major Dem would have been.

And, of course, much of the left's criticism of him is itself nuts.

But I've gotta say, these unhinged midnight tweets about annihilating whole civilizations...that's just it for me.

Somebody should have taken his phone away ten years ago.

And it doesn't help how full of shit the wingnuttier regions of the wingnutosphere are in their defense of him. They really will say anything to avoid facing the truth about him.
