I briefly hoped that she might actually be a centrist...but I'd given up on that long before the election.

One bright spot in all this: it seems that the way someone governs actually has consequences for his/her popularity...

Between Trump's shenanigans and what a weirdo Sears turned out to be, Spanberger's win didn't seem either surprising or outrageous to me.
