Bullshit Studies is a plague on academia.

In addition to packing normal disciplines with such bullshit, the left has created a vast network of pseudo-disciplines specifically devoted to spewing out bullshit, indoctrinating students, and advancing leftist dogma.

   Much of this stuff seems to be a kind of soft-core pr0n. It's also a branch of "me studies," wherein pseudo-scholars just talk about themselves all th time.

   This bullshit is not scholarship, and it has no place in any real university.

   Allowing these people to promote their bullshit at a university is like allowing religious kooks to use their positions to advance their religious dogmas. It's like we're not only allowing Scientologists into e.g. sociology and English departments, but we're setting up special Scientology Studies departments for them...and allowing them to teach courses to proselytize to their students. And giving them tenure on the basis of publications in publications specifically devoted to Scientology. Or: allowing Amway salesmen to teach courses specifically aimed at bringing new marks into their pyramid schemes.
