WSJ: The Infrastructure Bill Is The Green New Deal, Part 1--A Step Toward Climate Policy Central Planning

Remember, according to the GND's authors (though they don't put it this way), the "Green New Deal" is:
A new New Deal that is also, y'know, greenish.
It is NOT:
A green "deal" that is analogous in its ambition to the New Deal.
Central planning / socialist transformation of the economy is its point
So it's actually:  a plan to transform the economy into a more socialist economy...masquerading as a climate initiative...masquerading as an infrastructure bill.
And anyway: how'd we end up with the idea that lying about the meanings of words isn't really a kind of lying? Stretching the meaning of a term isn't all that different than (as we say) stretching the truth. And blatantly misusing a word is lying about its meaning--and always done in order to lie about some nonlinguistic matter of fact. (Consider our now-paradigm example, pretending that 'woman' means something not too far from human person in a dress...)
