Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5
Well, that was better than I expected.
Complaints and spoilers beneath the fold.
Complaints and spoilers beneath the fold.
- Balistae went from nuclear to completely useless.
- Drogon's breath effects were way cool, but inconsistent with the whole f*cking rest of the series. Now it does blast damage, too. You don't introduce that difference in the second-to-last episode of a nearly ten-year-long series. But it was cool.
- Drogon breathed out about fifty times his own body weight in breath fuel or whatever. There's got to be some limit on that shit.
- The Mountain's strength was way inconsistent. He basically backhanded the top of what's-his-name (the meister)'s head off, but the Hound took full-strength blow after full-strength blow from him and withstood choking for...way longer than 3 seconds...
- So...that's it then? Danny just....flipped her shit for no reason? That's what we've waited ten-or-however-many years to see? Could have been cool if this season weren't such shit. This is just disrespectful to the story, to the character, and to the fans. If it'd been built up in the way things in the show used to be, it would have been a freaking amazingly ballsy thing to do. But it wasn't, and it wasn't.
- So I guess Arya's going to kill her now, then?
- Thank God there's only one week left.
