Maybe I'm tired and stressed out, but this post actually made me cry. The assassination pool in Maine put me over the edge.

My sole comfort is that these are the exceptions to the rule, and way more people worked to put him in office and are happy to see him there.

But reading about things like this happening, and people acting this way... gets me worked up.

Wow, what crimes. People said bad things! What a racist country! 300 million people in the USA and this is all you got? Did you read the story or just the headline? Big race crimes, right. Throw the Second- and third-grade students on a school bus in Rexburg, Idaho, chanted "assassinate Obama," in jail. I think this makes you happy to post this not sad, because its not crimes its little stupid things that don't mean anything. people used to say kill Bush, so what. Chill out.

Yeah, I'm with ya, Tracie. Though it made me want to punch the relevant people in the head...which is slightly different.

I think it was the assassination-promoting shotgun pool that pissed me off the most, though that's clearly not as bad as the baseball-bat attack against the black kid.

Things would have been bad enough if McPalin hadn't pumped up the hatecrazy. Once that stuff goes up, it comes down only slowly.

Are you freaking kidding, Anon? Did YOU actually read the article?

What would it take to convince you that people are actually committing "big race crimes." A mass lynching?

Give me a break. These crimes are racially motivated.

No one is saying that children should be put in jail, or that our entire country is racist. But there definitely is a small minority that still is STILL racist, 40 years after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 40 years after the Civil Rights Movement supposedly ended. And just so you know, dislike of someone for their actions (Bush) and dislike of someone because of the color of their skin (Obama) are two wildly different things. The latter is racist.

So yes, this is an actual problem, and no, we are certainly not happy it is happening. And it is people like you, that deny reality, who allow things like this to continue.

Your problem, grasshopper, is that you try to reason with the stone...

What mass lyniching? What are you talking about. Somebody hung some dolls? This is all kid stuff. Reading comprehension, right.

Who said "kill Bush" and wasn't talking about forsythia? Anyone talking about Duhbya got arrested - and rightly so.
