NYT Story on Palin
Holy crap.
Reading this story, one gets the feeling that one is being shown a sketch of the tip of an iceberg. A very, very rotten iceberg, to mix some incompatible figurative language.
If the NYT is right, then Palin is apparently some kind of authoritarian kook with a penchant for nepotism and an aversion to doing her job.
If she were a Democrat or an independent, she'd be toast on the basis of this story alone--and rightfully so. I'm not sure even Saint McSame's hand-picked successor can survive revelations like this... But Republican candidates are like vampires or something, and it's hard to tell what kind of incoherent smokescreen the Republican noise machine will throw up to protect her from this. (Denizens of the Corner, I'm looking at you...)
