McCarthy: Be Skeptical of Claims the U.S. Hasn't Damaged Iran's Military Capabilities Much

LOL I never even considered taking these reports seriously.

Anybody who takes reports like these from the NYT seriously is a very slow learner indeed.

Anonymous NYT report to the effect that some obviously very successful Trumpian project is secretly unsuccessful?

Why, I could hardly be more convinced!

For that report to be right, this would have to be the most unsuccessful major American military operation since...uh...I couldn't even...maybe Operation Eagle Claw, the failed Iran hostage rescue mission in '79? And it's a stretch to call that major... I guess you could say Vietnam...but that wasn't so much a military failure as a lost propaganda war at home...

Anyway.

I don't believe that anyone but the deep blue left believed that.

I used to take every report like that seriously and either dive into it or automatically retreat to suspended judgment...

Now I just chuckle and move on...

The serious concern--seems to me--is the concern that the Iranian regime can just endure the pain longer than we can keep dishing it out. The left is already calling this a "forever war" and banging that drum... I mean...we're going on nearly 10 weeks or so! Practically the Hundred Years War over here...
