Autumn Billings: Hyundai Raid Shows Trump Can't Deport His Way to a Manufacturing Boom (?)

I'm in the afternoon doldrums, ergo not too sharp...but this post doesn't seem to add up.

   I don't know if the author is arguing that we should let people stay in the country illegally so long as they work manufacturing jobs...or what.

   She claims that some were here legally, but were detained...but it's not clear whether she's saying that anything else happened to them.

   And who thought that there would never be any tension between different goals of the administration? It's very common for there to be such tensions.

   And is there any reason to think that those jobs can't now be filled by citizens?

   Maybe I'm just missing obvious things here.
