WSJ: A Front-Page Analysis of Donald Trump's Racy Doodle in Epstein's "Birthday Book"
I can barely express how ridiculous this seems to me...
The MSM--and the WSJ's news coverage leans left, too--is spending more time on this than it ever did on the revelations that Trump kicked Epstein out of MaL. Or that he readily cooperated with the FBI on the Epstein investigation back in the day.
HOWEVER: that absolutely looks like something Trump would write--before knowing what we now know about Epstein. And it sure looks like his signature.
But I doubt there's any chance he did more than sign it--or maybe draw the doodle and sign it.
Does anybody think he really typed that out?
Almost certainly some flunky did it. Maybe he did the doodle. A flunky may even have stuck his signature on for all I know.
I'm not interested in defending Trump here. I don't even see that there's any reason to defend him. Doing the doodle means basically nothing.
But: forced to bet, I'd bet that he at least signed it.
Anyway, if he did do it, he should have just fessed up and moved on.
But if he didn't...well...I'd certainly never let people pin something like that on me--given that I'd never do it. So in that case, I'd understand him going to the mat for it.
And, though the WSJ story seems embarrassingly dumb to me...well...what else can they do, really, given his huffing and puffing and threats to sue?
This is one of the predictable consequences of electing Trump: we end up having to discuss salacious doodles on the front page of the Wall Street Journal...
