Did The 1/6/21 Capitol Riot Cause $1.5 Million Damage?

   No. At least not on the basis of the videos I've seen.

We have two different legal tracks in play--one for leftists and one for people who oppose the leftists. Massive terrorist riots causing billions of dollars of damage and dozens of deaths--virtually no charges for any of the rioters. One kid with the temerity to defend himself, Kyle Rittenhouse, sent to jail, and the power of the state is turned against him, seeking to send him to prison...while leftist "journalists" (but I repeat myself) prevent him from raising money for his own defense, doxing those who contribute to his cause. Oh, yeah: and some of those people lose their jobs...  The Capitol riot, in which the only death was the largely-unwarranted shooting of one of the rioters, is being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law--and beyond. Again, the full power of the state is turned to identifying and imprisoning the rioters/protesters. Many have been kept in solitary confinement for months. Now they may be charged for the damage...

   Look: I'm all for making people pay for the damage they cause. Will there be any actual evidence that the people being charged actually did the damage? Will there be any effort to make the BLM/Antifa/anarcho-communist 2020 rioters pay for the damage they caused? Of course not.

   The progressive left rejects equality before the law--that's obvious, and they more-or-less come right out and say it. Critical race theory does come right out and say that it rejects neutral principles of Constitutional interpretation.

   But, y'know, the crazy is just on campus and why are you so concerned about this stuff? and it'll all blow over and just keep your head down and if you speak up you'll be accused of racism and you think racism is bad, right? and this is all just phase II of the civil rights movement and transgender mythology is just about being nice and why not just use the words they ask you to use it's no big deal to you and at least we now have a return to competence and normalcy and no mean tweets...
