Because (as WSJ notes) they've never been able to accept the fact that Mueller proved that Russiagate was bullshit. You still frequently come across Democrats making snide comments about Russian collusion. The evidence is damn near conclusive...and they just. can't. give it up. Imagine what it things would have been like if the evidence had been less clear...
