Why Doesn't Trump Do SOMETHING About The On-Going Portland Mobs/Riots?

I say:

[1] Because it's extremely difficult, and what he's got is basically a sledgehammer. 

[2] The Dems in charge of the state:

[a] ...Believe in Antifa, and BLM, and what is, basically, an attempt at a kind of revolution; this is not a bug, it's a feature of left-wing Democratic rule. Trump would, in large part, be fighting the state of Oregon. 

[b] ...Want Trump to do something in the sense that they want to hurt himself politically so he'll lose the election. If he does something, it'll probably be messy.

[3] The solution is for the people of Oregon to vote out the crazies/Democrats...and, probably: fight back. If people were being executed in the streets, Trump would send in the 82nd Airborne or something...but, as Schlicter notes, they are killers not cops. We can easily go kill the Pantifa mobs...but the current ROE demand that we handle them with the kiddest of gloves, perhaps delicately arresting one or two here and there...who will be immediately released by the complex of progressive-left enablers who are backing them up.

   So far, Trump's handling this as well as anyone could. As others have noted, he should keep offering assistance, and keep pointing out that this is the doing of the hard-left Democrat party--this is what they want, this is their vision for America, this is a project promoted, executed, and backed by the progressive/blue left. The only good solution is for the blues to stop doing this--in effect to stop trying to overthrow the government and terrorize the populace. The Feds going in is a last resort, and it will be ugly. 

   The best thing you can do right now is start putting pressure on the blues...and vote red, red, red in November.
