Eh, Lovecraft was maybe a little racist--probably average for his time. People had and have all sorts of false beliefs. For all we know, Lovecraft was drawing justified conclusions from his experience. There's also no evidence I know of that he treated people badly. A lot of people at the time were non-culpably racist. I don't care about such stuff.
You know what's wronger? This unbridled progressitarian character assassination against people who can't defend themselves--and without any effort whatsoever to consider even the most obvious defenses on their behalf. It's deadism! Hey, I just invented a new kind of prejudice!
As for the pronunciations: get over it.
She gets an award. Is she happy? Does she feel fortunate? Apparently not. (I mean...it's just sci-fi. It's not the Booker Prize or anything. But still. Though...the Booker Prize is a bunch of woketard bullshit, too...) Anyway: no sign even of happiness. It's jut an opportunity to bitch about the moronic political fads of the moment. Lots of people'd give a lot to get that award. Even just to be published! She spends the whole time whining because people mispronounced her name. My name's European, but weird--as many European surnames are. It's been mispronounced hundreds or thousands ofttimes in my life...more often than not when people first pronounce it. I don't think I've ever bitched about it. Nor even cared much about it. Certainly not in such a simpering, whiny, bullshit way as this girl. MICROAGGRESSIONS!!! If only I'd known that's what was going on my whole life, I could have been bitchily self-righteous and victimized and whatnot about it.
