You Can Change Your Sex RIGHT NOW JUST BY SAYING SO...but YOU CAN NEVER CHANGE YOUR SEXUAL PREFERENCES, BIGOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
I'm embarrassed to admit that I never really thought of this...but of course it makes no sense.
It is politically correct--in the sense of politically obligatory--to believe/say that sex can be changed; in fact, it can be changed at will--bigot.
But it's simultaneously politically incorrect to believe/say that sexual preference can be changed...THAT'S UNPOSSIBLE!!!
This is made slightly less clear by the fact that transgender ideology/mythology has to botch the sex/gender distinction to have any chance of bamboozling the mundanes. So it has to pretend that man, woman, girl and boy are gender categories rather than sex (and age and species) categories. Which isn't even vaguely true. But there it is. So our alleged ability to transform from men to women and/or vice-versa at will is represented as an ability to change genders when, in fact, it would require an ability to change sex. And don't forget: by fiat. Which is too obviously false to make for good propaganda.
But somehow, altering human sexual preferences is beyond the capability of any even imaginable future science...
Despite the fact that it's an indispensable plank in the platform of the sexual revolution that Western culture has been altering people's sexual preferences for basically its whole history. There's no way to make sense of the cultural conversation about sexual preference we've been having over the course of the last 50-ish years without the premise that lots of people were basically forced to suppress / modify / abandon their sexual desires by our previously-sexually-repressive society. Far from being a priori impossible even for future superscience, it's something that's actually been done a gazillion times with only the relatively primitive tools of peer pressure, expectation and disapproval.
I mean, this stuff is so nuts that it's not even worth arguing against at this point. And yet...here we are...
