Northam Calls For More Gun Control

Here we go again.

I'm willing to listen...unenthusiastically. But the problem is that crazy people and criminals often use guns to commit crimes--including killing people. If the proposed solution turns out to be that sane, law-abiding citizens are supposed to relinquish their Constitutional rights...well...I expect Ralph realizes that the answer is likely to be No. 

Though the more NOVA metastasizes, the more likely it becomes that the Commonwealth could do something stupid on this front.

Mass shootings aren't that big a problem in the States by world standards, and they aren't that big a problem by historical standards. But that doesn't mean that they aren't awful, and it doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be discussed. So, by all means, let's discuss them. There are undoubtedly approaches we haven't yet thought of. It'd be great if we could figure out a way to mitigate the problem...without trying to take firearms away from sane, law-abiding citizens. Because that would be wrong and unsuccessful.
