Colbert Fatigue
I know I'm in the minority of liberals here, but it seems to me that Colbert's schtick got tired a long time ago. And testifying to Congress partially in character seems more than a little disrespectful.
That is all.

Funny in spots, but I didn't think it was appropriate either. Conservatives need mocking but not as testimony.
Megyn Kelly on Foxaganda was pimping the costs, but that was BS.
For what it's worth (in terms of interest), I was expressing that very sentiment to a friend who shared it just yesterday.
Colbert on Comedy Central is still funny, but to do the "character" in a Congressional hearing was a mistake. He would have better off being serious.
I kind of agree with you, but:
1. With 80,000 acres out of production in the US from lack of labor, "Not even the invisible hand wants to pick beans" is just a great line.
2. There would have been zero press interest in a session on migrant farmworkers otherwise.
