Obama Gets a Pants-On-Fire

Ugh. Obama's not running as far behind McCain as you might think according to Politifact.

McCain's got six pants-on-fires, but Obama has one of his own, a Spanish-language ad linking McCain to Limbaugh.

A nauseating bit of business, that ad. It may not actually deserve a pants on fire, since it doesn't actually assert that McCain agrees with Limbaugh on the relevant points--but it's disgustingly dishonest.

Anybody know whether that piece of crap is still on the air?

Still both Politifact and Factcheck.org recognize that Obama is being way less dishonest than McCain is. So, hey, that's worth something.

Winston and Mystic,

The most frustrating thing about this is that Obama has a much better, and more intellectually honest, means of attacking McCain on immigration, and that is: he said he wouldn't even vote for his OWN BILL! Talk about being before it before you were against it. The ad just writes itself...

Er, check that, should read "Talk about being for it before you were against it." Sorry, brain cramp.
