Now we get: Lyin' Sarah's tanning bed may be to ward off Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Whiny, implausible, health-related excuses: not cool, folks.

Does he not know how to use email, or does he know how to use it but either can't or chooses not to? From what I've read, it's the latter:
"I read e-mails all the time, but the communications that I have with my friends and staff are oral and done with my cell phone. I have the luxury of being in contact with them literally all the time. We now have a phone on the plane that is usable on the plane, so I just never really felt a need to do it."

I feel like if he can read them, he'd be knowledgeable enough to send them. Though I suppose he could have someone pull up his email messages for him, but seems like more of a stretch. Though I guess my real point is that there is a difference between not knowing how to do something and not being able or choosing not to do something, and I don't see this distinction being made anywhere.
The tanning bed thing is crap though. I have no idea why they'd lie about that, or why this would be an issue in the first place if she bought the thing with her own money. That's like making fun of John Edwards for his expensive haircut or Obama for eating arugula. For me, this would have been a non-issue up until the bogus justification.
Can the media please talk about the economy or Iraq or healthcare now? For instance, this scared the hell out of me today, and we're talking about tanning beds of all things: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/16/opinion/16herbert.html
