"Bush: Irresponsible to Re-Write History of Iraq War"

That headline from CNN.com says it all--though it'd be better if they cleared up the ambiguity by removing the colon.

[Note: turns out that you have to go to the front page of CNN.com to see the headline above. On the story page it's something like "Bush Takes On Critics of War."]

We're also promised a "campaign-style strategy" to rebut claims about pre-war intelligence-related chicanery. Par for the course, of course. This entire presidency has been one big campaign. Instead of allowing us to find out who won the election of 2000, they campaigned some more (remember those professionally-printed "Sore Loserman" signs?). Instead of allowing us to dispassionately inquire about whether or not to go to war in Iraq, they launched a pro-war marketing campaign (remember Card's claim about "rolling out a new product"?). Instead of fixing our Middle East policy, they hired a marketing idiot to convince the Middle East that our policies were already good. Now we get yet more salesmanship bullshit.

These people wouldn't know honest inquiry if it got their sister pregnant.

[Jeez, but I forgot to mention the real news: CNN is actually doing its job. It actually provides some realio-trulio facts along with Bush's claims. Actual facts which show that he's full of it.]
