Philosoraptor Feels the Love
Check out this interview with Mark Kleiman, gentle reader, in which he lists this humble blog as one he "admires."
Aw, shucks...'tain't nothin' really...
This, of course, solidifies my opinion that Kleiman is possessed of a keen and discerning intellect...

You and Mark are 2/7 of my blogroll, so I must be especially discerning.
Winston, you should know about this: is it true that "Popper is hopelessly unfashionable"? Because one thing I share with Kleiman is that Conjectures and Refutations has had "a major and lasting influence on how you think about the world."
Popper is indeed unfashionable these days, in philosophy departments. The standard story goes like this:
"Popper was a naive falsificationist, mostly in reaction to Hume. Kuhn and Lakatos have utterly routed naive falsificationism."
In a more thorough class, you might actually end up reading the Logic of Scientific Discovery.
