I'm more and more sympathetic to conservatives who think we should just cut all such programs.

Undoubtedly, we'd end up cutting some we'd want back--but deal with that if/when it happens.

The massive outpouring of tax dollars to inefficient and corrupt programs that ultimately fund and otherwise sustain Democrats is worse than just a waste of money. I'd rather see it piled up and burned.
