YIMBYs on the Cusp of a Major Victory in California

I'll fight neighborhood rezoning here to save my own property values. I mean, I'm already likely to get screwed by the Social Security system (in fact I hope I do, because screwing people my age and younger is probably the only way to avoid complete national debt meltdown...) And lots of the "abundance" stuff is goofy.

   BUT

   I really hope this catches on among the blue team. This is exactly the general kind of thing we need to bring the Dems back to sanity. However I might disagree with its particulars, dumping Woketarian insanity and moving back to nuts-and-bolts economic left-liberalism is exactly the right kind of move. People like me can have a rational discussion with Ezra Klien. In fact, I've had rational discussions with Ezra Klein. Arguing with wonky economic statist-liberals is just ordinary arguing. Reasonable propositions are on the table. Rational agreement is possible.

   Arguing with the woketarian cultists is...surreal, grotesque, and basically impossible. There's no reasoning with them. They've been brainwashed. All you can do, mostly, is hope they get better.

   Anyway: come on, Dems! You can do it! Dump the crazies and start being wrong about things we can argue with you about again!
