Trump Gets It Wrong

He's right about the left.

He's wrong about the right.

He needs to be trying to unify the country and bring down the temperature.

Of course, even when he gets it right--as he did with his first statement after Charlottesville--the left/MSM will turn what he says into something bad. His first post-C'ville statement was great. It was the first time I thought of him as my President. But everybody on the left freaked out and shat all over it. Trump's statement was at least as good as Obama's--and if Democrats didn't know which was which, many would have preferred Trump's. They had all kinds of stupid objections--including that REEEEE HE DIDN'T EXPLICITLY SAY 'WHITE SUPREMACISTS' REEEEEEEE. Then he issued another statement saying the words they wanted to hear--and they still bitched about it. Then came the live comments that spawned that Very Fine People hoax that the left continues to perpetrate to this day...

Boy those people are...often non-geniuses...

BUT that's not my point here.

My point here is that Trump really blew this one.

Look, the left has clearly been worse for most of the last 10-12 years. And that needs to be said.

But that doesn't mean we let the right off scot-free.

Trump's comments were WAY less bad than Bidens extremely fucked-up red speech...for which he received little or no condemnation from the left. But comparisons with the second-worst President of my lifetime only go so far.
