Vince Dao: DC Protest Backfires; Vance Drops Stunning News on Hecklers

I certainly understand people being appalled at Stephen Miller. I think he's almost always right. And I agree with him that the time for apologetics is over. The left has gone insane, and it's time to basically hit them in the face with the facts and the red team's very reasonable response to the crackpot, destructive policies of the blue team...

   But Miller does come across--or will to weepy lefty types--as some kind of prince of evil. 

   Again, though: he's right.

   And that's the important point.

  But most people won't even watch this sort of thing, and most that do will be greatly affected by the demeanor of the conservatives. In fact, they're just trying to be the adults in the room. But that's not the way they'll come off to many people.

   Compare their stern demeanor(s?) to the puerile tantrum(s?) being thrown by the lefties. Vance et al. seem somewhat stern, largely because they are in the position of being the adults. the leftist can scream and yell about kindness and cruelty (it's mainly "performative" as the left likes to say). They enjoy it, they want to think of themselves as the compassionate people. They refuse to face the (cruel) consequences of their self-indulgent kindness. These are people who'd still be hysterically demanding boundless, brainless kindness to criminals and the mentally ill even as the city burned around them. Vance et al. know that choices have to be made, and that boundless, brainless, performative kindness directed at groups tearing the social fabric means treating the rest of society, the majority, unreasonably and, yes, cruelly.

   Anyway, I can easily see a certain kind of--not necessarily unreasonable--person being repelled by e.g. Stephen Miller's appearance and demeanor. It even bugs me a bit. But I find it not nearly as repellant as the hysterical, shrieking tantrum being thrown by the lefty protestors. They can't just make their case--they have to have a near-breakdown every damn time they don't get their way. Do what we say or we'll scream and cry and shout you down and call you Nazis... Allow these people to run the country--or allow them much influence at all, for that matter--and the days of the nation are numbered.
