Turley on the Rise and Fall of the Expert Class

link
Obviously conservatives have been a lot righter about a lot more things than progressives over the past (at lest) decade.
I attribute this mainly to the batshitification of the left and less to the wisdom of the right.
The main contributor seems to have been the politicization of expertise. The left has radicalized, and has accepted a wide variety of crazy views...but it has also come to believe that those views must all be injected into everything. This is political correctness / Lysenkoism...and "intersectionality." These views are idiotic, and/but they are absolutely central to the left now. These dogmas guarantee that any errors on the left will affect even nonpolitical positions and experts, and that every error anywhere in their view will affect everything else they believe, and all the institutions they control--which is basically all of them.
The injection of leftist politics into education, medicine, science...and, well, basically everything...has led non-progressives--especially conservatives--to conclude--rationally--that the relevant institutions and experts are full of shit.
The left tries to characterize this as some kind of primitive anti-intellectualism on the right. But that's just not what's going on. What's going on is that the left has politicized institutions and expertise, but is too locked into its own echo chamber to recognize this.
Once again, it's the non-progressives who are right, and the progressives who are nuts.
This is the kind of lunacy that leads to CRT being injected into medical school education and transanity being injected into the Boy Scouts...Oh, sorry...I mean "Scouting USA" or whatever they're calling it now.
But this is all obvious to anyone who's been paying attention.
