MSNBC Discovers That Some White Supremacist Nazi Racist Bigot "Christian Nationalist" Americans Think We Were Endowed by Our Creator With Certain Inalienable Rights

Divine fiat views of morality don't work. But Jefferson's rhetorical (?) gesture was probably meant as an acknowledgement that rights don't depend on human whims. Human fiat views are even dumber than divine fiat views.
