Even Amanda Marcotte Is Fed Up With Woketarianism

Marcotte is a certifiable idiot, and a far-left loon. And, of course, she moves straight from I finally realized Woketarianism is nuts to Yeah, well, opposing Woketarianism is bad too...

  And don't forget that we're talking about someone who still refuses (last time I checked) to admit that the Duke lacrosse rape hoax was a hoax... And, as I recall, finally, years late, only begrudgingly admitted that maybe the UVA/Rolling-Stone rape hoax wasn't as undeniably true as she might have originally thought...

   And, of course, one of the main rules of the left is: Thou shalt not criticize the left...  And you're only permitted to violate that rule if you go on to say that the right is worse. So she remains true to form on those scores.

   But the important point, IMO, is that even somebody like Marcotte has had it with the shrieking reavers of the progressive left. Of course she focuses on the reavers themselves, with no mention of their lunatic ideas--those remain more-or-less sacrosanct--e.g. anyone who dares to question gender mythology is "transphobic." But that's not the real point here, I'd say. The mere fact that somebody like Marcotte is willing to write what she did is significant. It's evidence that the reavers have gone too far even by the lights of some of their most loyal and groupthinky comrades.
