MSM's TDS: Meta-Lies About Trump; And: See What I Get For Trying?

So I ran across yet another TRUMP'S TEH BIGGES LIEZ OV AL TEH TIMEZ stories, and thought: Right. I already know this is going to be infuriating and largely bullshit...but I'm going to read it anyway. The story's first link takes me here, which basically starts off with this claim:
Since he exploded onto the national political stage more than four years ago with the false claim that Mexico was funneling criminals into the United States...
No link. No proof. But we all know what they're talking about:
Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
Trump is not saying that Mexico is "funneling" "criminals into the United States." That is: he is not saying that they are "sending" them here in the sense of intentionally dumping them on us. "A sends us Xs" is a familiar American English idiom schema that basically just means something fairly unspecific that's consistent with e.g. "we get Xs from A," or "Xs come here from A." As in "Springfield sends us some of our best students" It doesn't mean that there's some (throwback phrase!) controlling legal authority that is selecting students and telling them to come here. (Though there could be--e.g. a guidance counselor.) That's a pretty good kind of example, because what's probably happening is that "we" have developed a good reputation in Springfield, and a kind of culture has developed there that makes it more likely that Springfieldians will come here. (Which is, undoubtedly, what's going on in Mexico and elsewhere.) It doesn't mean that the Mayor is telling the cops "round up some students and drop them off you-know-where."
If you look at the video, you'll see that (a) Trump is praising legal Mexican immigrants in attendance in a way that makes it clear that he wants them here, and (b) he's clearly indicating that the criminals in question are not Mexico's best. Which is really intended to say: they are unrepresentative of most Mexicans. Ergo, the MSM's 4-year-long propaganda campaign to convince people that Trump hates Mexicans and said that they're all rapists is...well...a propaganda campaign.
The point: the shrieking and raging about Trump's lies are largely or mostly lies themselves--they're meta-lies. These meta-lies are particularly scurrilous, because they pretend to be predicated on a concern for truth when in fact they are themselves lies of a most partisan kind. Pompously shrieking about your opponent's disregard for truth...while blatantly lying...is particularly odious. But that's what we find much (or most?) of the time in the Trump-the-liar literature.
So...I tried. I know that my epistemic and political pendulum has swung too far Trumpward in a bunch of ways...though, in my defense, I have always thought that he was unfit for the office. Also: it's being corrected by the right's total FREAKOUT about the election. Though: that freakout is partially warranted by the left/MSM's refusal to admit that there's any evidence at all of election shenanigans...but still. Anyway. The nonstop lies about Trump--including nonstop lies about his allegedly nonstop lies--are part of what makes the left the most dangerous major American political faction of my lifetime. (Homer: Of your lifetime so far...) But the left has SO lost its shit that it's better for my objectivity right now to keep one eye on what they're saying but keep as much of my distance as possible.
