A Central Thesis Of The Contemporary Academic Left Is That All Universities And All Professors (And, Perhaps, All Students) Must Be Progressive Leftists

This view has been floating around in the background for a long time. Now it's being made more explicit. The July 4th Princeton letter explicitly "demands" that "race experts" be put in charge of overseeing all teaching and publishing--everything must be run past them and approved by race kommissars. That, of course, is stark, raving madness. These sorts of demands might well be picked up by other universities. Since the left always moves left--and currently it's tripping on itself to move lefter faster--this "demand" could become a standard part of progressive leftism. Again: it's been implicit for a long time. So we're really only wondering whether an explicit plank in their platform will be made explicit.
Incidentally, one thing standing in the way of the implementation of such an initiative would be Betsy DeVos. Also incidentally, Biden has said he'll get rid of her if he's elected. And that won't--by a long shot--be the only thing he does to advance the cause of the extremist academic left.
