WaPo Blow-By-Blow Of Police Action / Crowd Control Incident At Lafayette Park

This seems pretty damn good.

(Though I'll say: about two weeks ago watched a similar WaPo video that was basically lies/cheating/propaganda from beginning to end... I had to fight the urge to spend a bunch of time on it...now I can't even remember what it was...)

   At any rate: nothing the WaPo says about Trump can be taken as the last word. We know that such stuff is largely a radioactive mashup of self-delusion, unhinged progressive dogma, and lies. But...of course we can be sure that it's not all false. And there's a lot in this video that's significant, and that seems to count in favor of the left side of the dispute over this incident.

   Some stuff doesn't seem that significant to me--e.g. footage of one officer seemingly throwing tear gas. My guess/view about such things is that there will always be glitches, misunderstandings, and anomalies. One officer might have been unclear on what was permitted. Or, of course, Barr and the Park Police could be lying. The fact that some journalists allegedly found spent tear gas cannisters matters, and should be added to the evidential base. But it's very far from conclusive. To gesture at just one reason: there was riot-control action in that area previously. 

   There will be an investigation of this, and I'm happy to wait for the results. 

   Needless to say, since I think the future of the nation is on the line, it's hard for me to be objective.

   And, though it should go without saying, I'll say it again: even shrieking, entitled little tools of the totalitarian left have First Amendment rights that must be protected.
