Absolutely right.
This is so much more important than, say, seeing Trump's tax returns that I can't even think of a decent way to express the comparison. (Though I would certainly have liked to see the returns...) If Biden committed to avoiding overtly progressive SCOTUS appointments, I'd fear a Democratic presidency significantly less. At any rate: this is such an important aspect of the presidency, that we absolutely deserve to know. Trump made a list available, and has made good appointments thus far. Without some assurance that Biden won't make prohibitively progressive appointments, I can't see voting for him. But, of course, the kinds of appointments that might sway me toward him would sway a lot of progressives away from him.
