Cathy Young: "The Rise Of The Illiberal Right"
And so it begins...or, rather, worsens...
I was just saying that people not-on-the-right ought to be paying attention to this dust-up over there. The illiberal left is already pushing people to the illiberal right (undoubtedly the illiberal right is part of what pumped energy into the illiberal left, too). Liberals, such that remain, are basically complicit by their silence.
I'm not all that alarmed about people like Ahmari.
I'm more concerned about the "Blood and soil" / tiki-torch / gun-toting / cross-burning illiberal right. Those guys don't just write articles for the National Review...
It's basically been vestigial for quite awile. I won't be astonished if that changes.
