So you recently compared the green new deal with Trump's wall, which I think is fair. They're both provocative, exaggerated policy demands that will heighten already dangerous levels of polarization. I think you can probably argue the wall is quite a bit less crazy (largely because it's a fixed cost), but that's not actually a very interesting pissing contest.
Here's the thing that gets me. Trump is a blowhard real estate salesman who's now too old to give a damn. Sachs is a Columbia professor. Which of the two would you be more concerned to see making extreme policy demands?
