This is very misleading. Supporting ~600 miles of fencing at strategic locations with DHS given significant discretion is not even close to supporting a wall along the entire southern border. Also, no one had been calling for The Wall before Trump's political strategists told him in 2015 it would be a great way to promote himself in the 2016 campaign. It was always a ridiculous campaign promise, just as his promise that Mexico would pay for it was ridiculous. So why are we even having this debate?
