Jonny Quest prepared the following voter's guide for me for our up-coming city council election, with her recommendations '*'d. Names and exact amounts have been changed to maintain my thin veneer of anonymity:
Candidate 1:
CROOK; evaded [about $60k] in taxes
Candidate 2:
Platform: I'm Hispanic
Candidate 3:
Platform: I'm a mom
Oh yeah, I'm also:
- A community organizer
- Queer

One point that she doesnt make: using the "male gaze" can really wreck a story, if it is supposed to be from a female POV.

Vote for #5, unless the new school is an absolute necessity. That is a buge, huge deal in local politics.
