For the most part they're losing to moderate democrats, in a few instances to social democrats. And my feel is that the democratic party, as a whole, is further to the right than it used to be.
I second Aa. In particular, they are not losing to the Goldsmiths College LBGTQ+ association, or the SPLC.
There’s not much of a connection between congressional Democrats and the kind of evil lunacy youi’re regularly denouncing here, Winst. There are exceptions: notably, Obama’s enabling activist political appointees to orchestrate the Great Title IX Disaster. But they are exceptions.
As for the traitorous Aa and DJ...et tu, motherfuckers?
No, actually half my heart is with you guys. The other half says: even when reasonable Dems win, they bring along with them a penumbra of (a) crazies and (b) people who will passively go along with crazies.
I currently think that voting for the Dems just *is* going to advance the crazy agenda.
But I'd be really, really, really, really happy to be wrong about that.

I am looking forward to partisan gridlock ATM. It'd be a great improvement on what we have now.

I'm with Pete Mack.
