Frum: "Dinesh D'Souza And The Decline Of Conservatism"
I'm not suddenly on a Dinesh D'Souza crusade, but something-or-other I was reading had a link to this on the sidebar. (I guess because I watched that video of DD bullshitting at Amherst...and because of the all-seeing eye of Google.) I had some idea that DD had spiraled out of control...but holy crap. Full-on racism, ODS, violation of campaign contribution limits, prison, a Trump pardon??? Whoa. Crazy, man. Crazy man.

One of my Chinese granduncles, because of his English citizenship, got a notice to report to the Chapei “Civilian Relocation Camp”, and he went around showing to his friends because at last somebody recognized him as being equal, as being as “good” as a white man.
I think his behavior since he lost the presidency of St. Johns’ College has been psychopathic, in the sense that he has displayed a pattern of being unable to learn from experience. He’s the head of a conservative Christian institution, and he doesn’t understand how his sharing a room with his “fiancé” would be a problem with his crowd.
There are two D'Souza scandals, more or less. The first came and went in 2012, when World Magazine — a prominent evangelical publication — reported that D'Souza had been spotted at a conference with a woman who wasn't his wife. He repeatedly introduced her as his fiancée, despite the fact that he was still married, and checked into a nearby hotel with her. Court records show that he only even filed for divorce the day that World called him for comment. D'Souza wound up resigning his role as president of King's College. The scandal was complicated by the fact that World's editor-in-chief, Marvin Olasky, had left his role as King's provost upon D'Souza's appointment as president, and the reporter writing the story, Warren Cole Smith, had been a consultant to the school before being let go by D'Souza.

Holy shit, dude.
Holy shit.
That story is like a punch in the gut.
Holy shit.
Was this tongue-in-cheek, or dead serious?
Serious as a bullet.
