Progressives Call To Block Trump's SCOTUS Appointment, Pack The Court

Not to mention the "harebrained" theories about Kennedy's retirement, and his concurring opinion in Trump v. Hawaii.
As White points out, a 15-judge court (which some progressives want from the next Dem administration) would lead inevitably to an even bigger court during the subsequent Republican administration, and so on.
White also urges understanding as progressive plans for total cultural domination fall through with Kennedy's retirement...I think progressives need many massive kicks in the ass and slaps upside the head, since I think they've become a bigger threat to the country than conservatives...but, then, I'm not the most forgiving fellow out there...

You seem to consider Merrick Garland a mulligan for the Repubs. There has to be some retribution for that dirty game.

No, I don't, and I've said so. I just don't know what can really be done.

Are the Dems in a position to delay until after mid-terms? If so, I suppose that's something...but it hardly constitutes payback for stealing a whole appointment from Obama. And I doubt it'll help much. They're not going to delay the appointment for two years.

Also, as I guess is clear, I think there's more to fear from the left, currently, than the right. Especially re: SCOTUS. *Unless* Roe is actually in danger...something I doubt...but I don't really understand. (Not that Roe seems like great law to me...nor that I'm certain about the morality of abortion. But, politically, I *definitely* do not want the government interfering in such things.)

Oh yes, roe is in danger. Trump *has* to deliver on this for his evangelical base. And it's easy to do: just start carving exceptions for individual state laws, and suddenly, hey presto, there is precedent.
