The Marshall Project: "The Myth Of The Criminal Immigrant"

This doesn't seem very good. First, I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say that immigrants increase crime. People who think anything like that seem to think that illegal immigrants do. Also, the survey was taken at a time when crime was decreasing dramatically.
   I don't have a view about this, except insofar as I generally expect that most such studies will lean left. A quick glance at Wikipedia's page on The Marshall Project suggests that it does so. And the conflation of illegal immigrant with immigrant is a common tactic of the left. So that's a bad sign. Of course such stuff about the political lean of the researchers are no substitute for digging into the research. As usual, I'd be interested in conclusions that I knew I could trust, but I don't have the time nor the statistics to dig into the details in a profitable way.
