Salon Apparently Can't Pay Its Rent...
...of 300k/year...
...near Madison Square Garden.
???
Couldn't...Salon, like, set up shop basically anywhere? How is it that they need a place that's $300,000 a year?
Well, I could waste a bunch of my time and yours making fun of them...but, bottom line: they suck and won't be missed.

I get that 300k a year seems high for rent, but for corporate rent in NY, that really isn't insane. There are restaurants that pay 2 million a year in Manhattan. And real estate outside Penn Station isn't actually prime; it's kind of the armpit of Manhattan.
So Salon is basically being pushed out of a bargain basement rental agreement, because like you said, they're shit.
They couldn't have offices in...Iowa City? or Tulsa? Or Mobile? I mean...how does it matter where their offices are?
