Sort of related but pretty interesting, a guy was arrested for filing a false report of being stabbed because he looked like a Nazi. As far as I know (and obviously my knowledge is limited on this), this is the first hate-crime hoax perpetrated by someone on the Right (or at least from what we can surmise).

It's a really good example of a really clear metaphenomenon in my mind: the Right is consistently fighting using the Left's tactics. Charlottesville was unique because the Right decided to come out swinging just like Antifa instead of adopting a purely defensive posture we had seen up to then (of course, the concentration of utter fanatics in that rally aided it). Trumpism is successful because it reformulates identity politics for conservative whites. And with this guy, maybe they are creating their own mass media hoax division, a racket the Left has made a killing on.

It's doubtful the Right can be as successful as the Left at a lot of this BS. The Left has unbelievable institutional cover to assist them; the Right has to hide in the dark corners of the internet for fear of personal ruin. But if you can step back and see the rancid toilet bowl these twin strategies are circling, maybe its time to choose new politics. And of course, the pressure needs to be applied to the Left, because that is the motive force with the Right being a mostly reactive actor.

That looks like the same damn-fool black-bloc numbskulls who have been f-ing up protests since forever. If you wanted to post an agent provocateur, they'd be the place to do it. Those guys are complete idiots.
