Unemployment Hits Lowest Rate In Ten Years

Blogger Lorenzo said...

Presidents have very little to do with the unemployment rate. Thank the Federal Reserve. Except, of course, they caused much of the problem in the first place.

Australia hasn't had an official recession (two quarters of negative growth) for over 20 years. That is not because of our Prime Ministers or their governments, but because of the Reserve Bank of Australia.

(Rules and regulations can set the default level of unemployment, but it's the cyclical element that is relevant here.)
