There's really no reason to even comment on the douchebaggery of anarchists. What's left to say?
But the really sweet thing about this story is the throwing stars bit. The sword part is funny...but you don't really hit the top level of forever alone sophomoric dipshittery until you think that throwing stars are a crucial weapon in your revolutionary arsenal. It's only at that point--which we might call the Napoleon Dynamite Point--that you become a complete and total laughing stock. Though the "four empty beer bottles" for Molotov cocktails...also utterly hilarious.

It's hard to know for sure, but I'm afraid my level of confidence in the authorities makes me inclined to wonder if the defense has a point. Swords and throwing stars seem like toys or things collected, not things intended to be weapons. On some of the other stuff, I wish there weren't so many stories that make me rate the likelyhood of police planting evidence as high, but there are and I do. Which isn't to say these couldn't just be idiotic anarchists; I just don't think one should rush to judge when one's main information sources are as unreliable as the police and the press.
really? come on, man. this sounds like every other terrorist plot broken up in the US over the past few years:

as for your broadly painted douchebaggery of anarchists, isn't that kind of like saying all Muslims are evil because 911? or all conservatives are selfish greedy twits because Rush Limbaugh? or judging all liberals as insufferable self-righteous vegans? don't get me wrong, i don't doubt your straw anarchist is a wicked douchebag. whatever floats yer boat, i suppose.
