You are completely wrong about Gingrich. He is a pretend candidate. He is trying to accrue some additional time in the spotlight for his "more money for me" scams. He gets to stand in front of the TV cameras and pretend to be the Oracle of Equus, spouting his used oats* for the terminally clueless. One of the main reasons his top campaign advisers quit is because he was spending all his time on his money scams instead of trying to run a presidential campaign.
I think sister Sarah, the self aborted Governor of Alaska, is in the same category. There is no limit to the money she can squeeze out of the gullible and the credulous if she keeps herself in the spotlight and winks at them periodically. I think she is probably well aware that the moron vote is not large enough to put her in office not that she actually would want to do the amount of work necessary to be president. If she can pull in 20 million in 2 years getting these cretins to step on their tongues or their weiner's (little joke there), why would she choose to work as hard as a president works for a paltry 400K a year.
