I guess she fled from delusional people. Those partisans who brought her up on ethics charges, every one of which she was acquitted although defending against them threatened to bankrupt her family.
And those who couldn't let her go as she was such an easy target, like MSNBC, which cannot defend our new president's initiatives, but can only attack.
Don't believe me, WS? Days before she resigned, Sarah Palin won the "Sitting Duck" award from columnists, over Rod Blagcjvzchkzz, I don't even feel like looking up the spelling. You could look it up.
Any decent person would quit if they had any sanity or concern for their family atall.
And as you might note from Mark Steyn, whom you've quoted approvingly,
“National office will dwindle down to the unhealthily singleminded (Clinton, Obama), the timeserving emirs of Incumbistan (Biden, McCain) and dynastic heirs (Bush). Our loss.”
On this we might agree, eh? Perhaps she's just a citizen and a decent person like Geraldine Ferraro, who was called, then destroyed by the machine.
I'm not even going to go into how the machine chews up women, who don't have the luxury of playing dirty in return, even Hillary. Hope your vacation was nourishing. We won in Iraq, BTW, despite both Bush and Reid's best efforts to screw it up. A postmortem would be fruitless, of course, as we'll never agree whether it's worse to start a bad war or to surrender in one that can be won.
It's not as if I've ever not heard your arguments, WS. So I return here now & then to seek out good arguments against my thinking. L'chaim.
