Oh, c'mon. Malkin probably had her whole See?-I-told-you-so screed written and was on the verge of posting it when someone "slapped" some sense into her.
Meanwhile over at TownHall, Hugh Hewitt who immediately assumed the story legit has a crop of readers busy backpeddling, defending, and, of course, dishing out the ol' "Ok, Todd lied. But calling her lie also racism is itself racist - gotcha!"
It just makes me tired all over to see such rhetorical plays where there could be some actual intelligent conversation. I just wish these exchanges were more honest. A simple STFU here would actually be a step in the right direction. At least that doesn't pretend to be a thoughtful argument and well-constructed retort.
